The Lawton room was designed as a living room for the UCL Institute of Education, a space where staff can grab a coffee, but also host book launches and parties. Primarily a social space, the Lawton room’s ambition is to inspire face to face, quick meetings, bringing people back on site post COVID and promoting outside of office collaborations and interdisciplinary projects. Organised through shells of both acoustic and lighting atmospheres, we designed a flexible multi-use space.
